Are you a kennel?
We provide pet sitting services in your own home. We believe pets that stay in their own environment are happier and healthier than pets who stay in kennels.
Can I drop off my pet at your place?
How can I trust your pet sitters in my home?
Our pet sitters undergo a thorough background check to ensure the safety of your pets and your home. We are also licensed, bonded, and insured, something many other pet sitters can not claim.
Do I get to meet my pet sitter or dog walker?
Absolutely! When you become a client, your pet sitter will meet with you and your pets in your home. The initial meet-and-greet is free of charge as long as you reserve 5 or more visits.
Will I have the same pet sitter or dog walker each time?
I have to leave town on short notice. Can you still provide service?
What types of animals do you care for?
We care for just about any type of animal. We have experience caring for dogs, cats, horses, goats, snakes, turtles, reptiles, ferrets, spiders, prairie dogs, mules, donkeys, birds and others. Have a unique animal? Just ask us!
Do you provide service on holidays?
Yes. We are open 365 days per year. We do charge a $10 per day holiday fee on major holidays: New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
What are your service areas?
We provide service within a 15 mile radius of both Columbia, SC and Ogden, UT.
Do I have to give you a key to my home?
We ask that you provide 2 keys to your pet sitter or dog walker. Even if you ask us to enter through an electric garage door or keyless entry, we still require keys in the event of a malfunction with the garage door or keyless entry. But don’t worry – your keys are kept in a safe, undisclosed location, and your keys will never be tagged with personal identifying information. You may also chose to use a lock box of your choosing, however we can not be responsible for malfunctioning lock boxes.
How will I know when a pet sitter or dog walker has been to my home?
Our clients have access to an online portal that provides you with instant updates on the status of visits to your home. Once we have completed a visit, we will send you a report card via email and SMS, including pictures! You’ll also have access to real-time status updates in your online customer portal.
What is your cancellation policy?
Can I tip my sitter or dog walker?
How do I pay my bill?
Payment in full is due prior to services beginning. We accept all cash, checks, all major credit cards, PayPal and Bitcoin.
What if I am delayed returning home? Can I extend my service?
All vacation visits are eligible for our emergency and contingency plan. When you return home, we ask that you contact us. If we do not hear from you, we will automatically continue service until we confirm you have made it home safely.
What safety precautions do you take with my dogs while you're walking them?
Your dog’s safety is of the utmost concern to us. First of all, we do not walk your dogs with other dogs in the neighborhood. Your dog gets our undivided attention! Leashes are clipped to a special harness that your dog walker wears around their waist. This ensure your dog will not become separated from your walker. To top it off, we attach a GPS unit to your dog’s collar while on a walk. While we’ve never had to rely on it, the GPS unit ensures a quick reunion in the highly unlikely event that your dog walker and pooch become separated.
I just have a cat. Can you visit every other day/couple times per week?
Our insurance policy requires that we visit your home at least once per day for cats, and at least twice per day for dogs.
I should just hire my neighbor's kid for $5.
We realize our service may not be for everybody. We are a full-time, full-service pet sitting and dog walking company that provides a unique and convenient service for you and your pets.
Our pet sitters and dog walkers have undergone a thorough background investigation, to include employment verification, drug testing and interviews to ensure we hire only the best. Our pet sitters and dog walkers undergo regular training and include topics such as pet first-aid and handling emergencies so you can be sure you are hiring the absolute best.
If you have multiple pets, you’ll find it can be more cost-effective to hire us than to place your pets in a kennel.
How much does this cost?
Our rates are very competitive and can be very cost-effective when you consider you don’t have to drive to the kennel, you don’t have to pick your pets up when you return, and there’s no chance your pet could catch a contagious disease from a kennel.
